Crenshaw High School Teacher Resigns Amidst Possible Sex Scandal
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A Crenshaw High School teacher has reportedly resigned amidst a police investigation, authorities said Wednesday.
No details were released about the investigation.
Asked whether a teacher at the school was being investigated for a sex crime, Los Angeles Unified School District spokeswoman Monica Carazo released a terse statement.
It read: "Teacher has resigned from LAUSD. Police investigation ongoing. Any other details must come from LAPD."
Officer Karen Rayner of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations unit was similarly tight-lipped.
"The only thing we can confirm is that there is an ongoing investigation. There's no further information available at this time," Rayner said.
