Crash Between 2 Alleged DUI Drivers In Sylmar Ends In Tragedy
SYLMAR (CBSLA.com) — Officials say a crash early Sunday between two allegedly drunken drivers ended in tragedy.
A woman who reportedly drove through a red light at Foothill Boulevard and Polk Street around 6:40 p.m. She struck another vehicle and died at the scene, Los Angeles police Sgt. Robert White said.
Both vehicles came to a rest at the southwest corner of the intersection.
The Los Angeles County Coroner's office identified the woman killed as 58-year-old Blanca Lopez, of Sylmar.
Officers arrested the driver of the second vehicle.
