Crane Overturns Near Beverly Center; Operator Seriously Injured
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A crane operator suffered a serious leg injury Wednesday when his crane overturned near the Beverly Center.
Paramedics responded to a construction site in the 300 block of North La Cienega Boulevard about 11:10 a.m. and took the man to a hospital, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Erik Scott said.
The man "reportedly rode (the) crane down as it fell (and) suffered a serious leg injury," Scott said.
The crane overturned, putting the cab at street level and the boom extending into a construction pit.
