COVID-19 Cases Continue To Rise In LA County

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — The number of people testing positive for COVID-19 continued to rise in Los Angeles County over the weekend.

As of Sunday, public health officials reported 3,045 new cases, coupled with five new deaths.

In addition, officials said 1,071 had been hospitalized as a result of the coronavirus.

The surge is being attributed, in part, to the highly transmissible Delta variant.
