Monrovia Couple Plead Not Guilty In Double Kidnapping
ANAHEIM (AP) — A couple has pleaded not guilty to helping a father abduct two missing Anaheim boys.
David Nicholas of Monrovia entered pleas Wednesday to kidnapping and child abduction. His wife, Linda Fernandez, pleaded not guilty to being an accessory after the fact.
They remain jailed Thursday.
Police believe 2-year-old Justin Quinones and 4-year-old Jacob Quinones were taken last week by their father and grandfather, Abraham and Louis Fernandez of Houston.
The Orange County Register says they were pulled into a van as their mother took out the trash and one was snatched screaming from her arms.
Prosecutors contend that Nicholas rented the van and the couple hid the boys in their home briefly. Linda Fernandez is a cousin of the father.
