Couple Plans Bi-Coastal Disney Park Hop Within 24 Hours On Leap Day
ANAHEIM (CBS) — An East Coast couple is taking park hopping to a whole new level.
Randi Teague and Andy Bullard told the Orange County Register that they plan on visiting both Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando and Disneyland in Anaheim – all in one day, Leap Day!
On Tuesday, the couple plans to fly out from their home in Washington D.C. to Florida where they will spend the night at a Disney World hotel.
On Leap Day Wednesday, they plan to enter the Florida park when it opens at 3 a.m. PST and spend the day at their favorite attractions.
From there, they plan to grab an evening flight to Los Angeles International Airport.
It's scheduled to arrive at 9 p.m. Wednesday allowing a fast cab ride to the amusement park, where they hope to set foot on Main Street just before midnight.
Because of Leap Day, both parks are scheduled to remain all night as part of a promotion.
Bullard told the Register that they have a checklist of rides they hope to hit at both parks, including the Haunted Mansion and the Mad Tea Party.
The couple's bi-coastal adventure is expected to cost about $1,100 which includes hotel costs and airfare, although frequent-flier miles will cover some of that.
As for admission fees, the couple have annual passes to both resorts, the newspaper reported.
