County Worker Dies At Desk, Goes Undiscovered For 1 Day
DOWNEY (CBS) — Authorities say a 51-year-old county probation department auditor who died at her desk Friday probably died from a stroke or heart attack.
Rebecca Wells died sometime Friday but was not found until the next day.
"She was discovered by a coworker on Saturday," officials said.
"The coroner will have to determine the exact cause of her death, but
there was no sign of foul play," police said
Downey police said the building was a massive place, and Wells' body probably was not noticed because few people work there on Fridays.
