Over 100 County Firefighters Knock Down Second Alarm Fire At Commercial Building in Hawthorne
HAWTHORNE (CBSLA) — Los Angeles County Fire Department crews were engaged with a second alarm fire in Hawthorne Saturday.
The fire broke out at a a commercial garage on Prairie Avenue at around 5 p.m., where over 100 firefighters battled the blaze for over an hour.
Witness video from the scene showed large plumes of black smoke and flames exiting through the roof of the building.
It was not immediately clear what started the fire.
