Corona Couple Hires Bloodhound, Pet Psychic In Search For Missing Yorkshire Terrier
CORONA (CBS.com) — An Inland Empire couple has hired a psychic and a real-life pet detective to help find their missing Yorkshire Terrier.
For under $1,000, Ann Babin and Chong Kim hired Landa Coldiron's Lost Pet Detection service to locate Chongina, their beloved tan and black terrier.
The Corona couple says the 5-year-old dog got into a neighbor's yard and crawled out underneath a gate sometime between 9 p.m. and 2 a.m. on New Year's Eve.
"She has been a cherished member of the family for 5 years," Babin said.
Coldiron and her two bloodhounds conducted a search in the area of the couple's home on Jan. 6, but so far Chongina is still missing.
"I did establish a direction of travel with the bloodhounds, but at this point it's going to come up to eye witnesses, other people's eyes and ears," she said.
Lost Pet Detection uses the only Certified Trailing Bloodhounds in California to locate missing cats and toy breed dogs.
The service has been used to find celebrity pets and even a Bomb Detection Dog that went missing from a police department.
The couple also received a tip from a local veterinarian who told them to contact a pet psychic in Pennsylvania over the phone.
"She is still looking into it," Babin said.
With the clairvoyant's help still pending, Babin and Chong put up lost dog banners and posters around Corona.
The city removed a majority of the signs and told the couple to take down the rest or face a $93 fine per poster.
A $1,000 reward has been offered by Chongina's owners for her return.
