Construction Along PCH In Newport Beach To Cause Traffic Tie-Ups

NEWPORT BEACH (CBS) — Construction along the Pacific Coast Highway in Newport Beach is expected tie up traffic starting Monday.

Two projects are set to begin between Superior Avenue/Balboa Boulevard and Bayside Drive.

An Orange County Sanitation District trenching project is scheduled to begin east of Tustin Avenue, allowing for just one lane in each direction to remain open between the Balboa Bay Club and Tustin Avenue.

The work will continue around the clock and is expected to take about three weeks.

Traffic will also be affected in each direction between Bayside Drive and Superior Avenue/Balboa Boulevard as part of a Southern California Edison project.

Crews will be working Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with the job expected to wrap up in mid-November.
