Compton Man Stabbed In The Head During Argument

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A man was stabbed in the head during an argument early Tuesday in his Compton home, authorities said.

The man was taken to a hospital in critical but stable condition, sheriff's Lt. Jim Rios said.

He was stabbed during an argument with another man in a home in the 4100 block of East Saunders Street about 12:30 a.m. The other man stabbed him several times, including once in the head, Rios said.

The suspect, who suffered wounds to his hands, fled and showed up at Louis Burgers at 1501 E. Rosecrans Avenue, Rios said. People at the restaurant called 911 and paramedics were sent to the location, along with deputies.

Rios says the suspect, who gave several different names to deputies, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.

It's not known what the men were arguing about.
