Clumps Of Pot Wash Ashore In Laguna Beach
LAGUNA BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Marijuana washed ashore in Laguna Beach Wednesday.
Shortly after 1 p.m., lifeguards at Irvine Cove Beach reported clumps of unpackaged pot scattered around the north end of the beach, said Laguna Beach police Capt. Jason Kravetz.
So far, law enforcement officers have collected more than two pounds of marijuana.
It's suspected that the drugs came from a smuggling boat that lost its load or sank.
The investigation is ongoing.
