City Of Los Angeles 'Lights' Up For LGBT Heritage Month
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — City Hall will be dappled in lavender-colored lights starting Wednesday night in honor of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Heritage Month in the city.
The lights will continue through June 22.
The city will turn blue at night to raise awareness of colon cancer, but this is the first time the civic building downtown will be lit to recognize the LGBT civil rights movement.
The pylons at Los Angeles International Airport will also glow purple through Friday.
