Chris Paul Practices With Wrap On Injured Thumb
NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- Chris Paul is practicing with a wrap on his left hand, the result of a thumb injury during the Hornets' loss to the Lakers in Game 3 of their first-round playoff series Friday night.
Paul says he expects to be fine for Sunday's Game 4, and Hornets coach Monty Williams says Paul did not appear to be limited by the injury to his non-shooting hand in Saturday's practice.
After falling behind 2-1 in their best-of-seven series, the Hornets can ill afford to be without Paul at his best. He's averaged 25 points and 10.3 assists in the series.
Kobe Bryant says the Lakers were pleased with their balance in Friday's 14-point victory, but must be ready to respond to the Hornets' adjustments and intensity in the pivotal Game 4.
