CHP Investigates Deadly Accident On 170 Freeway As Possible Hit-And-Run
NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — The California Highway Patrol is investigating a mysterious deadly accident on the 170 Freeway in North Hollywood.
Investigators believe the accident was a possible hit-and-run and are hoping witnesses will come forward to shed light on what happened around 12:18 a.m. on the 170 just north of the 101 Freeway.
The victim has been identified as an 18-year-old Australian native. City News Service quoted the coroner's office who identified the victim as Rishi Chaubal Menon.
Witnesses reported seeing Menon lying near the freeway.
He was declared dead at the scene.
The CHP is unsure if Menon was hit by a vehicle or fell out of a vehicle in some way.
