Cerritos Man Arrested In 'Suspicious' Roadside Death In Anaheim
ANAHEIM (CBS) — Anaheim police Wednesday arrested a Cerritos man on suspicion of fatally shooting an acquaintance visiting from South Korea.
Yeon Woo Lee, 50, was found shot in the head next to a car with a flat tire on Miraloma Avenue near Kraemer Boulevard about 4 a.m. Tuesday.
Anaheim police arrested Beong Kwun Cho, 51, about 7 a.m. today, according to Sgt. Rick Martinez.
Cho was brought to the Anaheim police station for questioning shortly after midnight, Martinez said.
Investigators were still working to determine a motive, but believe it was a personal or business dispute, Martinez said.
Lee lives in South Korea, but was in the United States for personal and business reasons, living in Orange County motels for the past couple of months, Martinez said.
An autopsy determined that Lee suffered one gunshot wound to the head, Martinez said.
Investigators have recovered the gun they believe was used in the slaying, Martinez said.
Cho was being held in the Anaheim jail, police said.
