Calabasas Car Accident Leaves Three People Seriously Injured
CALABASAS (CBS) — Three people were seriously injured Saturday when a pickup truck overturned on a freeway in Calabasas, a California Highway Patrol Officer said.
The crash happened at around 6:30 p.m. on the eastbound Ventura (101) Freeway, just west of Las Virgenes Road, said CHP Officer Patrick Kimball.
The accident involved two vehicles, including a pickup truck carrying bales of hay that overturned on the freeway and blocked three lanes, according to the CHP.
Three people were airlifted to a trauma center, Kimball said.
Officials say the lanes were reopened at 8:19 p.m.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
