California Home Sales Plunge In October
LOS ANGELES (AP) — California home sales in October were down nearly 21 percent from a year earlier and the median price also dipped.
San Diego-based MDA DataQuick says Thursday that an estimated 32,600 houses and condos were sold statewide last month, down 1.5 percent from September and 20.9 percent from October 2009.
The firm says the median home price last month was $256,000.
That's a drop of 3.4 percent from September and 0.4 percent from the year-earlier figure.
