Busted UCLA Recruits Land At Other PAC-10 Schools

Shaquille Richardson, Paul Richardson, and Josh Shirley were all kicked off of the UCLA football team.  Just days into their college careers, the trio was arrested for allegedly stealing a bag left unattended by a UCLA student.  The group faces felony charges.

Since then, Josh Shirley has found a home landing with the University of Washington.  Shaquille Richardson is off to another PAC-10 school in Arizona.  Paul, still is without a home.

Richardson was in Colorado last week, visiting the Boulder campus.  The hangup, from what I've heard, (USC fans can appreciate this) is the CU Compliance Office.  With felony charges still pending, the CU Compliance Office is reluctant to sign off on Richardson's admission.  CU is an interesting place to Richardson because, among other things, his former Los Alamitos teammate, QB  and '09 grad, Clark Evans is a member of the Colorado football team.  Richardson and Evans are good friends (Evans has since moved to TE).  Richardson played his senior season at (Gardena) Serra.  There will be no reunion however if the felony charges stand.  The District Attorney's Office has referred the case to the City Attorney's Office.  There, it should be decided if misdemeanor theft chargers are warranted.

Richardson could also return to UCLA.  According to reports, UCLA head coach Rick Neuheisel will allow Richardson to return to the team in January should he meet unspecified requirements.
