Burglary suspect ditches getaway vehicle on train tracks during pursuit
After a crosstown pursuit Monday afternoon, a burglary suspect ditched his getaway car on a Metro rail line.
The driver led police from Encino to Inglewood eventually hopping onto the highway at about 4:10 p.m.
The suspect weaved through lanes during rush hour traffic on the I-110 Freeway and eventually exited near the Hyde Park and Florence neighborhoods.
They continued to drive around South LA until reaching Inglewood, driving onto a set of train tracks in an attempt to lose police. While driving alongside the rails, at least one suspect jumped out of the car and started to run.
He was apprehended a short time later.
It's unclear how many people were in the vehicle during the pursuit.
