Build-A-Bear Voluntarily Recalls 300K Toys Over Choking Concern
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission Thursday announced the voluntary recall of a popular children's toy.
According to the Commission, the eyes on nearly 300,000 of the "Colorful Hearts Teddy" line may fall out and pose a choking hazard for small children.
So far, no injuries have been reported.
The toys were sold at Build-A-Bear locations in the U.S. and Canada.
Those, who have purchased the bears, are being asked to return the item to any Build-A-Bear location in exchange for a coupon to select another stuffed animal, the store said on its website.
More information on the recalled toys is available by calling (866) 236-5683 or visiting the store's website.
