Crews Contain Brush Fire In South Pasadena
SOUTH PASADENA (CBS) — Fire crews have managed to contain a blaze that ignited in South Pasadena Sunday night.
Fire officials said they would continue to watch for potential flare-ups.
The brush fire was reported shortly before 9 p.m. in the backyard of a home on the 800 block of Bank Street.
The fire started burning uphill, threatening several structures, before crews contained the blaze a half-hour later.
As the flames moved uphill toward a house, the homeowner got his yard hose and battled the flames alongside firefighters.
Some fire crews remained on scene in case the blaze flares up again.
