Brush Fire Burning Above Porter Ranch

PORTER RANCH (CBSLA.com) — Fire crews are battling a brush fire burning above Porter Ranch Tuesday night.

Flames broke out around 9 p.m. north of the intersection of Tampa Avenue and Sesnon Boulevard.

At least 15 acres have been charred near the Aliso Canyon natural gas storage facility, which could be a potential danger.

Helicopters have been dropping fire retardant on the flames that seem to be raging downhill towards homes.

But no homes have been threatened so far.
