Bruno Mars Pleads Guilty In Cocaine Case
LAS VEGAS (AP) — Grammy-winning pop star Bruno Mars has pleaded guilty before a Nevada judge to cocaine possession as part of a deal with Las Vegas prosecutors that could result in the felony conviction being erased next year.
The 25-year-old singer-songwriter was sentenced to probation, a $2,000 fine, 200 hours of community service and drug counseling.
If he stays out of trouble for a year, the conviction would be removed from his record.
Mars' real name is Peter Hernandez.
Police say that Mars had 2.6 grams of cocaine when he was arrested in September in a casino men's room after a performance a Las Vegas nightclub.
