Bruins Win Again, Defeat UC Irvine 89-60
LOS ANGELES (CBS) -- UCLA improved their record to 6-5 on Tuesday night with another easy victory, defeating UC Irvine 89-60 at the Sports Arena.
Easily playing their best basketball of the season, the Bruins followed their 82-39 win over UC Davis with another dominating effort, thanks to career-highs from freshman Norman Powell with 19 and Tyler Lamb, who scored 17 .
David Wear had 12 and 9 rebounds, while Josh Smith scored 12 in 22 minutes.
Next up for the Bruins, the struggling Richmond Spiders, who snapped a three-game losing streak with an overtime win over Old Dominion on Tuesday night.
Richmond was eliminated in the sweet sixteen last year by Kansas.
Meanwhile, the Anteaters fall to 2-9 and will host Hope International before Big West play begins on December 29th at Cal State Northridge.
