Brian Williams: TSA Groped 'Dave And The Twins' At LAX
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — It's no secret enhanced security measures have all but taken the fun out of flying, but now even America's most recognizable newsmen says recently it was his turn to "get nailed".
In an appearance on CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman on Monday", nightly news host Brian Williams said it was "such a joy" to be treated like every other American by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) at LAX.
"Air travel is such a joy in this country," Williams said. "You get the enhanced schmegeggy right there...That's an aviation term. For some reason coming back, I always get it at LAX. I get nailed."
"They go, they go right in," Williams continued. "This new thing, they go right after Dave and the twins...Either you go in the little thing and you put your arms up and parade around, and somebody in a booth somewhere looks at you naked through your clothing, or you can get the prod of your schmegeggy."
Williams is hardly the first to voice his opinion on the new measure: travelers filed over 900 complaints with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) in November over the new security measures, including potentially radiation-emitting body scanner machines and more aggressive physical pat-downs.
