PALMDALE (CBS) — Friends and family are mourning a 50-year-old Palmdale woman who was found stabbed to death in her home.

Andrea Perry, a single mother who cared for six children – four of whom were her own and two of whom she was adopting – was found stabbed to death in her home in the 39000 block of Desert Holly Lane Sunday morning.

"I just thank God for everything she was and still is in my life," Perry's brother, Lowell Perry, said.

Perry's boyfriend, who friends and family identified as Kenny Griffin, has not been named a suspect, but sheriff's detectives intend to interview him.

The six children are in the care of their grandmother.
