Boyfriend Arrested In Connection With Fatal Stabbing Of Woman In Palmdale
PALMDALE (CBSLA.com) — Deputies Sunday arrested the boyfriend of a woman who was found stabbed to death in Palmdale.
Jose Martinez was taken into custody after being identified as a person of interest in connection with the stabbing death of the unidentified woman.
The 37-year-old man was arrested as he sat on a bus bench, deputies said. He has since been booked on suspicion of murder with bail set at $1 million.
The Saturday afternoon incident, which was reported as a person not breathing, occurred about 1:30 p.m.
When deputies arrived to the home in the 38000 block of 3rd Street East, they found the woman in her home with a stab wound to her upper torso.
Deputies said in a department statement that they have since learned that the woman was fighting with her boyfriend earlier in the day, according to witness statements.
