Boy Allegedly Kidnapped By Father In Long Beach
LONG BEACH (CBS) — Long Beach police say they need help finding a 3-year-old boy whose father took him despite a restraining order.
Gladimir Jesus Gamez, 24, followed his child's mother to her home near Fourth Street and Walnut Avenue at about 11 p.m. Friday and argued with her, Long Beach police spokeswoman Lisa Massacani said. During the argument, Gamez allegedly assaulted the woman and the child.
The mother put 3-year-old Ethan Jesus Gamez into her car and tried to leave, but the father was able take the child and was last seen running away with the toddler, north up Gaviota Avenue. Officers were dispatched to the woman's home about 11:05 p.m. Friday, Massacani said.
Gamez was described as a 5 foot-7inch tall Latino man weighing 150 pounds with short brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt with a hood, blue jeans and white shoes.
He does not own a vehicle and is known to frequent the area where the abduction took place. Police said he should be considered dangerous.
His son Ethan, stands about 32-32 inches tall and weighs around 40 pounds, and was last seen wearing a brown T-shirt with white stripes, a green vest, blue jeans and brown shoes.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Gamez or his son can call them at (562) 570-7244.
