Boy, 12, Rescued From 100-Foot Cliff In Angeles National Forest
LA CAÑADA FLINTRIDGE (AP) — Los Angeles County fire officials say a crew used an aerial ladder to rescue a 12-year-old boy stuck on a cliff in the Angeles National Forest.
Capt. Brian Jordan says responding firefighters found the boy on the steep slope about 100 feet above Angeles Crest Highway near George's Gap Sunday evening.
The boy's father was on a ledge above and was able to walk to safety.
A firefighter went up the 100-foot ladder and was able to bring the boy down. Jordan says the child was cold and missing a shoe but otherwise OK.
The boy was treated at the scene and released to his parents.
