Boy, 10, Charged With Murder In Stabbing Death Of Best Friend
SAN DIEGO (CBS) — A 10-year-old San Diego-area boy has been charged with murder in the stabbing death of his best friend.
The boy is expected to appear in juvenile court Thursday morning after investigators say his best friend, 12 year-old playmate Ryan Carter, died Monday after a kitchen knife was plunged into his chest, KNX 1070's Brian Ping reports.

Neighbor's say the young defendant has emotional problems and was quick to anger. Others say the ten- year-old's mother had been working with doctors to address a chemical imbalance in the child that dates to his birth.
The child's name was not released due to his age.
He won't be tried as an adult, because he's younger than the minimum of 14.
The victim's parents said they'd moved to an El Cajon trailer park to afford private school and start a college fund for their son.
