Bone Marrow Registry Drive To Be Held For Kings Fan
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A bone marrow registry drive for a 19-year-old Los Angeles Kings' fan is expected to be held Saturday night at STAPLES Center.
The drive, which will be conducted by Be the Match, will be held throughout the Kings-Anaheim Ducks game across from Section 115. It will involve filing out a consent form and a self-administered cheek swab that takes less than one minute.
The drive is being held on behalf of 19-year-old Tanner Raboin, who is battling Chronic Granulomatous Disease, a genetic disorder.
Raboin was placed in the National Marrow Donor registry almost three months ago, but a match has not been made, according to the Kings.
