Bomb Threat Puts Elementary School In Moreno Valley On Lockdown
MORENO VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — Someone reportedly called in a bomb threat to Sunnymead Elementary School Friday, prompting officials to place the school on lockdown and police officers to search the campus.
A call was made at 9:58 a.m. while school was in session, according to Deputy Albert Martines of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
Canine search teams and the bomb squad responded and reportedly found nothing hazardous on the campus, Martines said.
He said the investigation is ongoing.
