Body Found Following Fire At Abandoned Building In Boyle Heights

BOYLE HEIGHTS (CBSLA) — Authorities say one person has been killed following a fire at an abandoned building in Boyle Heights.

The victim's body was found just after 8 a.m. Saturday morning.

The abandoned commercial building is located on Whittier Boulevard near Matthews Street.

It took firefighters about 30 minutes to put out the flames.

There was no word yet on the cause of the fire.
