3 Dead In Apparent Beaumont Murder-Suicide

BEAUMONT (CBSLA) — Three people are dead in what Beaumont Police believe was a murder-suicide on the 34000 block of Crenshaw Street.

After receiving multiple 911 calls Friday, Beaumont police arrived on the scene and found a woman lying in a driveway of a residence suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound.

Beaumont police officers and the Riverside County Sheriff's Department SWAT Team entered the home to see if there were additional victims in need of medical assistance.

Officers located two additional gunshot victims inside the residence, one male and one female.

Police say the three persons were deceased prior to the arrival of officers, and that although the investigation is still in the early stages, the preliminary indications are that is the incident was a murder/suicide.

Authorities are still working to identify the deceased and establish the relationship between them.

A neighbor said an elderly woman and a man in his 40s lived in the home.

"We heard a gunshot, three to four gunshots," Zarah Bernales said. "So, I had my husband go outside to check. He saw the lady laying down, and she was covered in blood."

Beaumont Police ask that if anyone has information about this case, to please contact Detective Sergeant Harris at 951-769-8500. Information can also be reported anonymously at crimetips@beaumontpd.org.
