Body Discovered 2 Days After Pasadena House Fire

PASADENA (CBS) — A body was discovered in the rubble of a structure two days after a firefighters extinguished a fire at a Pasadena home.

According to the Pasadena Fire Department, crews put out a structure fire at 36 S. San Marino Avenue on Sunday around 2 a.m. After the fire was extinguished, firefighters complete a search of the home and all occupants of the residence were accounted for.

When clean-up work was underway Tuesday, a body was found in the burnt structure by a private investigator, who was potentially at the home for insurance purposes.

The body has not been identified and officials say the gender is not distinguishable. Pasadena investigators are classifying the incident as a suspicious death and do not know if it is related to Sunday's fire.
