Body Buried In Lennox Yard Is Missing Homeowner
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Coroner's officials say the body dug up at a Los Angeles drug house is that of the missing homeowner.
Los Angeles County coroner's spokesman Craig Harvey says the decomposed corpse found buried in plastic and cloth on Tuesday is 53-year-old James Stein. Fingerprints confirmed his identity on Thursday.
Stein and his wife, Gabriela, vanished from the home in the Lennox area last December. She's still missing.
Stein's body was located after a man reported that two people living at the home stole his pickup truck on Saturday, claiming they needed it to bury a body.
Two people have been arrested for the carjacking.
Investigators also are looking into a mysterious Wednesday night fire at the home.
