Blue Line Metro Service Halted Indefinitely Following Power Outage
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Metro officials say service on the Blue Line is halted indefinitely following a power outage Sunday.
The outage occurred just before 5 p.m.
Authorities said service was interrupted between the 7th Street Station and Grand Station on the Blue Line as well as the Expo Line from 7th Street to 23rd Street, according to Metro spokesperson Paul Gonzales.
Power is expected to remain off for several hours leaving the train service inoperable.
Stranded passengers have been transported between stations via bus, said Gonzales.
Metro officials theorized the outage was caused by damage from a train to an overhead line near the 7th Street station, Gonzales said.
