Bloomington School On Lockdown After Nearby Deputy-Involved Shooting
BLOOMINGTON (CBSLA.com) — A deputy-involved shooting in a nearby robbery investigation left a San Bernardino County elementary school on lockdown Thursday afternoon.
Sheriff's deputies responded to calls of a strong arm robbery at Valley and Larch shortly after 2:00 p.m., according to the San Bernardino Sheriff Department.
It was not immediately clear whether deputies fired at or hit a suspect.
Acting principal Doris Grove at Gerald A. Smith Elementary confirmed that the school was placed on lockdown.
No other details were immediately available.
