'Black Friday' Shoppers Out In Force Across The Southland
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Shoppers have been out in force all night long in hopes of ringing in the holidays with some big sales.
Several stores opened before midnight, but major retailers were expected to be packed throughout the day Friday.
CBS2's Joy Benedict spoke with one shopper who snagged the last $500 Samsung LED television at a Best Buy store in Burbank.
"It's definitely been crazy," he said. "It's my first time. I had to try it."
Roughly 77 million people are expected to shop for holiday bargains over the holiday weekend.
If you plan to wait until Monday to get some bargains, be careful about surfing the Web at work. More than half of businesses say they will block shopping sites.
