Big Rig Kills 2 Women On 60 Freeway In Industry
INDUSTRY (CBS/AP) — Two women have been killed after a trucker lost control of his big-rig on a Southern California freeway.
California Highway Patrol Sgt. Bill Preciado says the trucker lost control of his tractor-trailer rig on the eastbound 60 Freeway in the city of Industry at about 1:40 a.m. Thursday.
The big-rig crashed through the center divider and struck a Nissan Altima, killing two women. The trucker was hospitalized, but his injuries aren't serious.
CBS2's Kristine Lazar reported that the eastbound lanes of the freeway near the 605 interchange will remain closed until at least 6 a.m.
