Big Rig Jackknifes, Spills Load On 134 Fwy Transition To WB 210 Fwy
PASADENA (CBSLA.com) — A big rig jackknifed and overturned early Monday morning, spilling its load of clothes on the Ventura (134) Freeway transition road to the westbound Foothill (210) Freeway.
The big rig was hauling two trailers when accident happened just after 2 a.m., the California Highway Patrol reported.
The semi and one trailer slid over the Foothill interchange onto the northbound 710 Freeway. The second trailer continued on its side to the westbound 210 Freeway, the CHP said.
The interchange was shut down as a result.
The northbound 710 Freeway transition road to the Foothill (210) Freeway reopened around 7:10 a.m. The eastbound Ventura Freeway transition road to the westbound Foothill Freeway remains closed and is expected to reopen after 1 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
The CHP says wet weather is partially to blame for the accident.
