Big Bear Ski Resorts Reporting Nearly 2 Feet Of Fresh Snow
BIG BEAR (CBS) — Now for the silver lining to the huge storm clouds that have finally left Southern California.
Snow Summit resort in Big Bear has reopened Thursday with one to two feet of fresh snow, thanks to the storms that have battered Southern California for nearly a week.

Both Snow Summit and Bear Mountain say they'll be open over the holiday weekend. Highway 330/18 are still closed, but Highway 38 through Redlands, with chains required, and Highway 18 through Lucerne Valley are open.
Chains are required in the city of Big Bear.
