Beverly Hills Celebrating 90210 Day
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. — (CBS) Beverly Hills is launching the party of a century to mark 90210 Day. Don't get it? Well today is 9/02/10—a date matching the city's famed zip code that only comes once every 100 years.
So how do you celebrate such a day? Well if you are in Beverly Hills, you get Larry King, a Beverly Hills resident, to host a party that kicks off a four-day series of dining and drinking events.
The bash will include unlimited food and drink from the finest Beverly Hills restaurants; a tribute to King; and the debut of the song "90210 Beverly Hills" written by Hal David and Charles Fox and performed by Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr.
The event will also include the Humane Society of the United States presenting Animal Advocate Awards to actresses Kaley Cuoco, Wendie Malick and Jorja Fox; a concert by Natasha Bedingfield; and a fireworks celebration.
Want to attend? Tickets are $150 and you can learn more at thetasteofbeverlyhills.com or by calling 877-434-8624.
Beyond the Beverly Hills' celebration, fans of the hit series that made the city's zip famous are also marking the day. That party can mostly be found online at social networking sites such as the "90210" fan page on Facebook.
