Best Water Slides In Los Angeles

If you feel like slip sliding your way through a summer day in L.A. by taking on the thrill of a gnarly water slide, you're in the right place. The City of Angels and environs is ripe with these cool contraptions that promise you a wet experience to remember. Following are five of the best.

The Bermuda Triangle
Raging Waters
111 Raging Waters Dr.
San Dimas, CA 91773
(909) 802-2200

Welcome to one of California's largest water parks where The Bermuda Triangle is real -- or at least this inventive outpost's version is. A trio of tunnels push passengers through giant tubes via some 2,500 gallons of water gushing through every minute. As you zoom toward the bottom to splash down into a giant pool of still water, you'll likely not remember where you are for several seconds. Talk about a rush!

Bonzai Pipelines
Six Flags Hurricane Harbor
26101 Magic Mountain Pkwy.
Valencia, CA 91355
(661) 255-4100

Body sliding is at its best at this water park situated next to Six Flags Magic Mountain, Los Angeles County's premiere theme park. The name of the attraction is Bonzai Pipelines and the way it works is that you climb to the top of this thrill maker (that's six stories, folks!) and then stand still in front of a trap door to get sealed into a see-through launcher (don't worry, you can deal with this step!). After that you'll be put through a 50 foot free fall before some looping action that is sure to make you tingle and that might make you hold your breath until you reach the bottom. Good luck!

Dragon's Den
Raging Waters
111 Raging Waters Dr.
San Dimas, CA 91773
(909) 802-2200
www.ragingwaters.com

Dragon's Den makes Raging Waters Los Angeles worthy of being put on this discerning list twice. This particular contraption is called a bowl slide because inner tubes are used to get you speeding down the 45-foot drop opposite a buddy of your choice or a stranger who happens to be in line with you. One part of this adventure has you two passing through an enclosed flume that will put even more thrill into your turn on an unequalled attraction that is overseen by a mist-spitting dragon who measures nine feet tall. How cool!

Splash Zone
Rosemead Aquatic Center
3233 Kelburn Ave.
Rosemead, CA 91770
(626) 569-2271
www.cityofrosemead.org

This wet Rosemead city venue is one of the best places to enjoy watersliding activities with the younger kids in tow and without getting to anxious when he or she enjoys the on-premises attractions. There are two on which to slide and both are just two stories tall so expect a lot of going back for more sans the worry of larger attractions of this type.

Buccaneer Bay At Splash!
La Mirada Regional Aquatics Center
13806 La Mirada Blvd.
La Mirada, CA 90638
(562) 902-3191
www.splashlamirda.com

This is also a great place to take the little kids who want to be able to slide on water that is just right for their miniature bodies. The park has three different water slides so diversity is key here at a playground of wetness where a marooned ship and a skull made out of rock remind you that you and your crew are not necessarily playing on land. Ship's ahoy, mates!
