The Varsity LA is the west coast version of Cheers and the #1 bar to be at for the Super Bowl. The owner, Mike Gray, likes to call the place a "hybrid sports bar" that's "just plain friendly." The fantastic locale offers its patrons posh lounge style comfort and a five-star quality menu at reasonable prices (with a daily happy hour). With dozens of huge high-definition flat screen TVs, surround sound and two high-definition 120" projectors at the north and south ends of the lounge, there is not a bad seat to have in the whole place.

The Basement Tavern is a vintage speak easy located in the basement of a grand 19th century home. The Victorian house is now a wedding/event venue on the corner of Ocean and Main is offering $3 beers, $5 wells and $5 whiskey shots all day long.
