Best Places To See New Year's Eve Fireworks In Los Angeles

With Christmas just around the corner, it won't be long before New Year's Eve is upon us. Ring in the new year with family, friends and your fellow Angelinos at some of the best places in LA to watch the fireworks. While Marina Del Rey, Hermosa Beach and all of the other beach cities are great places to watch the fireworks, Los Angeles has some other amazing options for watching the fireworks and ringing in the New Year with style and class.

Queen Mary
1126 Queens Highway
Long Beach, CA 90802
(877) 342-0738
www.queenmary.com

Sail abroad on a cruise ship which transports you back in time to the voyaging days of the Queen Mary. Once considered the largest ship of its time, the ship has since become a piece of history, but this New Year's Eve, history comes alive in a one-night world cruise whisking guests away to some of the Queen Mary's top destinations without even leaving the port. The best place to see the fireworks would be from the aft of the ship up in the VIP decks accessible only to "passengers" with New Year's Eve "boarding pass" tickets.

Disneyland Park
1313 Disneyland Drive
Anaheim, CA 92802
(714) 520-5060

Ring in the new year at the happiest place in Southern California for a magical evening of well-orchestrated fireworks filled with Disney love. Although technically not part of Los Angeles, Disneyland is one of the most popular places near Los Angeles to watch the fireworks, especially if there are children in your group. While Disneyland does offer year-round fireworks, it holds a special "Ring in the New Year" firework show that creates a very memorable experience. The best places to watch the fireworks are from Main Street and the Sleeping Beauty Castle.

Sunset Flying
2801 E. Spring St.
Long Beach, CA 90806
(714) 493-9747
www.sunsetflying.com

Sunset Flying offers one of the most unique New Year's Eve experiences, making the open sky by far one of the best places to see the fireworks from Disneyland to downtown LA. With sunset flying, you can view all of the fireworks going on in LA at the same time. Trained pilots keep the plane flying higher than the fireworks for maximum safety. The coolest part is that one lucky guest gets to fly the plane with the help on an airline transport pilot.

The next best place to see New Year's Eve fireworks in Los Angeles is from the Rooftop Lounge of the W Hollywood Hotel where you can enjoy panoramic views of the city and the fireworks. Formerly known as Drai's, the W Hollywood Nightclub and Rooftop Lounge will have you ringing in the new year with an open bar all night long, three world-class DJs, two areas for mingling, including the nightclub itself and the pool lounge, and a countdown you won't want to forget. Tickets are pricey to be up on the rooftop, but you really can't beat the view.

Grand Park
210 N. Grand Ave.
Los Angeles, CA 90012
(213) 972-8080
www.grandparkla.org

While New York has Times Square, Los Angeles has Grand Park. Nestled between City Hall and the The Music Center, the three-block park is LA's hottest new gathering place for New Year's Eve fun and fireworks. There will be tons of food trucks, plenty of casual seating and great views of the fireworks from out in the open. It's New Year's Eve Los Angeles style and free to public.
