Fullerton Arboretum botanic garden provides the community a place to walk through a green area full of 4000+ plants, walking trails and beautiful landscapes. What is unique to this location is the option to have a community garden. During the open enrollment period, which runs from July 1st to August 30th this year, you can grow your own seasonal vegetables on one of the 25 garden plots available. What started in the fall of 1970 with faculty members and a group of students at Orange State College as an arboretum has grown to be a community embracing the botanical garden in the city.

The 2.2 acre horticulture retreat in Corona del Mar offers a delightful display of living plants. The seasonal flowers and tile fountains prove to also be a great location for private events. Dedicated to the native plants of California, this botanic garden is an environmental conservation, and is one of the largest botanic gardens that is dedicated to California native plants. Privately funded by a Claremont non-profit that provides a living museum and learning center, there are times of the year that free days are offered including the Spring Open House, Mother's Day, National Public Gardens Day, California Admission Day, Fall Planting Festival, Veterans Day and Green Friday.
