Best Places In Orange County To See July 4th Fireworks

With July 4th right around the corner, it's that time of year again to figure out the best places for you and your loved ones to celebrate America's Independence. From Disneyland to the fireworks set off in Newport's Back Bay, Orange County is lighting up the sky for the big event. We've put together the best spots for you to sit back and watch fireworks.

Join Newport Beach as they celebrate Independence Day on the Back Bay with entertaining activities and events along with an incredible fireworks display. This festival will feature live music including the Tom Solis Band, which is a blend of rock, alternative and blues, as well as Mirage (a Fleetwood Mac tribute band) and DSB. Visitors will also enjoy a variety of tasty treats from local food trucks as well. It's true that you can watch fireworks anywhere, however, you can't get the beauty of this setting just anywhere. With the cliffs and the ocean, this is one of the best places where you can see a terrific fireworks display. KSBR 88.5 provides the music simulcast for the fireworks show, so make sure you tune it in to get the full experience. Parking in Dana Point is tricky enough and even more so on a holiday, but the City of Dana Point provides a free shuttle from 10 a.m. until 11:30 p.m.

The 4th of July in Mission Viejo will be celebrated with an all-day event that you're sure to enjoy. Throughout the day, visitors will find plenty of booths for tasty food, delicious beverages and fun games to take part in which just adds to the fun before the main event. Plenty of live music, dancing and comedy will also be on hand throughout the day. The day comes to a close with fireworks over the lake - a setting that makes the fireworks show even more impressive. To ease the parking situation, a free shuttle in the lake area is available from 1pm until 8pm.

Beginning at 4pm, the event at Santa Ana's Centennial Park will gives you plenty of opportunities to celebrate America's independence. Not surprisingly, you'll hear patriotic music throughout the day, and you'll also get to take part in a history walk to help you remember why we celebrate this special day. The park features a kids zone, face painting and lots of food. As this is a park and admission is free, attendees are encouraged to arrive early with blankets and chairs. The fireworks show begins at 9pm.

San Juan Capistrano celebrates Independence Day with an all-day carnival at a beautiful park right across from the train station downtown. While the event is free, purchase is required for rides and games for the kids. Beer and wine will be available for sale so the adults can have some fun of their own as well. There will also be family picnic games open to everyone, and a band will perform at 6pm providing great entertainment as you lounge around with friends and family. For the grand finale, the incredible fireworks show will begin at 9pm. Parking is available both in the lot and on the street. Barbecues are not allowed at this event.

If you're ready for a full day of celebrating America's independence, Anaheim is the place you should visit. This event begins with a 5K/10K run at 7 a.m. at Canyon High School. Following the run, there will be a delicious pancake breakfast to take part in as well as a dog show also at Canyon High. From there, the party moves to Peralta Park, where you'll find plenty of food and a holiday parade. You can take in some live music from 5pm until 8:45pm, after which is the grand fireworks show.

With a theme of "America the Beautiful" this year, enjoy a Lake Park Breakfast hosted by the Kiwanis of Huntington Beach, a Surf City 5k Run, the 112th Huntington Beach 4th of July Parade, live entertainment, scrumptious food, the beach and an amazing fireworks spectacle at the end of the day over the ocean. The Huntington Beach Annual 4th of July Parade and Pier Festival is going to be nothing short of amazing with family oriented activities during the day and a fireworks show off the Huntington Beach Pier at night. Although entry to the festivities is free, primary seating at the fireworks spectacle is not. Individuals hoping to get a VIP seat should purchase tickets here in advance.

The Laguna Niguel Fireworks Celebration will be an all day event which kicks off with a run in the park at 6am. Followed by a pancake breakfast, you'll really get rocking when the concerts begin at 6pm. A live concert by Undercover Live at Crown Valley Community Park will be followed by a fireworks extravaganza at the nearby Regional Park. The fireworks show begins at 9pm, but make sure to bring flashlights and something to sit on!

Starting at 5pm, The City of Fullerton will be putting on a terrific 4th of July festival followed up by a terrific fireworks show. Throughout the day, there will be live music by Deke Dickerson and the Ecofonic and other entertainers at the Fullerton High School Stadium at the corner of Lemon St. and Berkeley Ave. This old-fashioned 4th of July festival will feature entertainment, family fun games as well as food booths and of course an excellent fireworks display. Fireworks will go on at 9pm.

Beginning at 9pm, the city of San Clemente will commemorate America's independence with a fireworks show on the San Clemente Pier. Enjoy game booths and live shows as well as the sparkling display of lights which will fill up the sky from the pier. Every year features new and exciting displays, so expect crowds. Come early to snag the best seats, and plan on a bit of a haul to get through the hubbub after the show.

Celebrating with a 15-minute 360-degree fireworks spectacular, a list of the best places in and around LA would not be complete without the famed Disneyland on it. Set to rousing patriotic songs, salute the stars and stripes and commemorate Independence Day with the inspirational fireworks show that will begin at 9:30pm and go for 30 minutes.
