Best Places For Paintball In Los Angeles

Feel like engaging in some mortal combat? Okay, the real thing is a game of life and death and is reserved for the brave few that enlist in the military or other special combat forces. Pretending with a rousing game of paintball can be a lot more fun than actually having to engage in real war games. Here are a few pseudo combat game locations to stimulate some inner warrior spirits.

Video games come to life for kids over 7 and adults of all ages at this paintball park. If you're looking for fun, put together a posse of pals for a great day of wanna-be war play at this exciting new park. Whether you walk in alone or plan a big party, the themed combat style games can last all day with eight different battleground areas to explore and conquer. An impartial referee is assigned to run the games, and each group is provided a full safety, equipment review and orientation before the paintballs start to fly. This location is off the beaten path, so follow directions carefully to get there.

Owned by the California Technical Foundation, this park is dedicated to funding education and enrichment programs for at risk youth in the high desert community. With this unique approach, the foundation is better able to interact with families and develop relationships with the teachers and students in the neighborhood. The park offers three fields - one speedball and two rec fields - complete with man-made bunkers. Open Saturday and Sundays, these activities are for enthusiasts 10 years old and up, and membership is free. Parties and groups are asked to call for reservations.

Open weekends for play and rental, this location has just been totally updated with new scenario fields detailed for adventure. Action Star Games offers 13 outdoor fields of inflatable obstacles with drain pipes, trenches and dirt hills designed for maximum strategic war play. The referees train the teams in maneuvers and rotate teams with competitions to maximize the adventure of theme based combat. Visitors must be at least 10 years old to play. All participants are given a brief safety training demonstration session prior to scenarios including "capture the flag" or "elimination" based games.

Up in the mountains of Santa Clarita, at the Close Encounters Recreational Center, you'll discover this creatively constructed area to throw a paintball party. This remote park has 14 unique game zones detailed for strategic play maneuvers in the mountains. Although kids enjoy these altered reality game environments, adults experience adrenaline pumping excitement at scenario based games, too, including the Air Bunker Field, a Maze-Funhouse, WWI style trenches and dunes, giant wheels and hay bales, ravines and other exciting environs to keep the action realistic. For younger, less experienced players, they provide splattermaster games with low impact balls and soft gel paints. Visitors must be 8 years old and up to participate.

Hollywood Sports Park is very family friendly with 28 acres of buildings and gaming zones. The existing structures are sets from movies like "The Haunting" and "Godzilla," with seven unique scenario fields and stadium lighting for mysterious night games of intrigue. To participate, you must be at least 10 years old. Even if you're new to playing these games, even the most unskilled beginners can still participate in the paintball "Soft" and "Lite" areas. There are themed structures with Egyptian style obstacles and even a Zombie paintball play area that is really scary. This vast sports park has other activities available as well, including a laser tag game area, a BMX bike field, full size volleyball courts, a fully equipped rock climbing wall, banquet room and dining facility. This park has a little something for everyone.
